FAQ: Timken versus Koyo wheel bearings?
Which is better? Both are a fantastic bearing and due to customer demand for both options we stock them both. Timken bearings are made in the USA, Koyo bearings are made in Japan. Both are used OEM by Toyota in older Land Cruisers and various new models as well. We are 100% confident in either option for new and old Land Cruisers alike.
FAQ: Upgraded heavy duty inner axle seals?
All of our knuckle overhaul kits include the standard stock style seal. If you're looking for a heavy duty option due to extreme turn angles, worn seal surfaces on your inner axles or slightly untrue axle housings, Cruiser Outfitters stocks the Marlin Crawler Heavy Duty Eco Seal for all 1969-1997 Land Cruiser axles. FAQ: What else might I need in addition to the knuckle rebuild kit?
We have assembled these kits to contain everything needed for a standard knuckle overhaul, however there might be some items you consider purchasing for your particular rebuild. We have sold thousands of knuckle rebuild kits over the past 20 years and rebuilt hundreds of axles in our shop, we feel confident that our kits contain the right parts to do the job right the first time.
FAQ: Replacing/Rebuilding Your Birfield Joint?
Are you Planning to overhaul/replace or switch your birfield (outer axle joint) from one side to the other? If so, you will want to make sure to have the axle clips that go inside of the birf, they often break when removing the inner axle from the birf. See Part# FACL34005 for your application. Order 2 per axle.
FAQ: What tools will you need to complete the job?
At a minimum you will want to have a 54mm hub socket (Part# FA15007 fits all 9/1975-2007 disc brake axles) for your Land Cruiser axle work. Additionally you will need basic hand tools, a brass drift and a spring-scale gauge (Part# FASCALE) and snap ring pliers (Part# FASNAP). These additional items are all easy to source at your local auto parts store.

Great product, slight hiccup
The kit is wonderful, brings absolutely everything you need and I opted for the wheel bearings. Only hiccup was that my package was missing the wheel bearings. Cruiser teq quickly sent out my wheel bearings but it did delay my project for 3 days sadly. All high quality components. Will continue to do business with them. This was the first time I had missing products. Again thank you for the quick replies. My star review is just for transparency, otherwise I'd give their customer service a 5/5 stars.

80 series knuckle rebuild
Kit was thorough had everything needed to rebuild the front end. I opted for the wheel bearings also. Good instructions and link to videos. This is the kit u need to rebuild that front end!

80 Knuckle Kit
Great kit with all highest quality parts put together from Sumo...nice touch to include a full set of instructions for the rebuild too! My only comment on the instructions was I had to double check in the FSM (which did not answer my question either) and then further on Mud forums for which direction to install the rubber gasket since it has a ridge on one side. I disassembled one day, and did not trust my memory on how it came apart (or that it was previously installed by someone else for a prior service the right way). As always, parts were shipped FAST and correct as ordered, thank you!

Good kit
Quality parts. Instructions forgot to mention removing ABS sensor. It would have been nice if the kit included new O-rings for the ABS sensors. Instructions were good, but I found it easier to follow the video that was linked on the product page.
