Both 80a and 90a Alternators were offered on this vehicle and they are NOT cross compatible. Please determine whether you have an 80a or 90a Alternator before purchasing. If you are not sure what you have on the vehicle after looking at the existing alternator, please contact us before purchasing.

Fitment
This 90 A alternator will not fit on a stock FJ80. Originally intended to be mounted with it’s own bracket different than the one for the 80 A alternator. This different bracket will cost you upwards of $200 if you can find it. I found a few threads on Ih8mud detailing how to modify this alternator to fit the original 80 A bracket, and went ahead and took off some metal. I got it on and working with just an hour or two of grinding and fitting.
